About Residential Inpatient Programs

Do you have an age minimum?

Yes, RCRW treats adults from 18 years of age and up.

What are the sleeping arrangements like?

Our bedrooms are comfortable and provide a home like atmosphere. We offer both private and shared accommodations. Towels and bedlinens are supplied and each room has a private bathroom. Each floor has a shared space that provides comfortable seating with tv access. The facility also has a yoga studio, art studio, state of the art gym, dining room, laundry room, and many other amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

What should I bring with me?

During your stay, you will be engaged in a range of activities. Please bring whatever will make you feel most comfortable.  Think relaxed, easy, and cozy.

  • Comfortable clothing and sleepwear
  • Sneakers, comfortable shoes, and slippers
  • Your favorite toiletries (that don’t include alcohol)
  • Your favorite books and music
  • Pictures of family and friends
  • Any comfort items you love; an instrument, favorite robe, blanket, etc.
  • Prescribed medications
Can I access my cell phone?

Yes, you may bring your phone with you. However, our staff will maintain your phone in a secure place. You can access it with staff if you truly need to check messages, calls, or email.

Do you provide transportation?

If you are unable to provide your own transportation to the facility please let us know.  We will work with you to find a way to get you here.

Can I have visitors?

Yes. During your stay here, we believe it is important to allow you time and space to visit with your family and friends. Your recovery support system is important to us and your care.  You absolutely will have opportunities to spend time with your loved ones and for them to be  a part of your treatment and recovery. 

About SATS Outpatient Programs

Who is eligible for SATS Outpatient Services?

Adults age 18 and older who are seeking treatment for substance use and co-occurring emotional or behavioral health needs are eligible.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and many private insurance plans through Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare, making our services accessible to individuals from various financial backgrounds.

What types of therapy are offered at SATS?

We offer a range of evidence-based therapies including individual, group, and family counseling. Therapy is personalized to your needs and may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention strategies.

How often will I need to come in for treatment?

Frequency of visits depends on your individualized treatment plan. Some clients come a few times per week, while others may attend more or less frequently. We work with you to create a schedule that supports your recovery and fits your lifestyle.

What if I need medication to support my recovery?

Our program includes psychiatric support and medication management. If medication is appropriate for your care—such as medication-assisted treatment (MAT)—our licensed providers will discuss options with you and monitor your progress in a safe, supportive environment.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. All services at SATS are provided in a confidential and judgment-free environment. We are committed to protecting your privacy and upholding the highest standards of dignity, cultural sensitivity, and respect in your care.
